Stayed here on business and it was OK. The rooms themselves are not huge, quite warm and probably could do with some renovation. Overall it’s a little bit tired. The staff were very nice and welcoming. Checking in was all good and they did a did job recommending places to go. Breakfast was pretty decent, certainly did a job. It’s fine for business, but probably wouldn’t choose it for a nice weekend away.

This hotel is not for tourist stays. Nothing close by and no ADA access. Hotel staff were not friendly and had poor knowledge of hotel and surrounding area. During our 5 day stay never ever greeted or acknowledged when entering or leaving hotel. Even at check-in, quite uninterested and not welcoming. No one explained having to insert key card in slot near door inside to turn on room lights. On several occasions when asking about hotel amenities, like laundry, and area directions the staff was clueless. In fact, they seemed annoyed at being interrupted. Hotel lobby was cold and uncomfortable while we waited for friends and transportation. The rooms were OK, a bit out dated. Bed was hard, pillows super flat. Did not sleep well in 5 days. We had 3 rooms and all were equally uncomfortable. There was no room for luggage. Bathtubs in each room were quite high, even for my husband 5'8". The rest of us, shorties had to be careful in/out of tub. Floors are slippery tile and Bathtub slippery and enclosure leaked water on the floors. One towel mat was always soaked. Definitely not impressed, quite disappointing. The area is business district, lots of homeless closeby. Not recommended! Not worth the price. Lots better hotels in the area at similar prices. Our previous hotel in Nazare was quite the opposite.

Hotel is dated. Showers change water temperature (cold to scalding hot) constantly without touching faucets. Area rug in room is matted. Hair dryer overheats and dies before I could finish drying my hair.BED WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. Overall an OK stay for the price we paid but would not return to this hotel

I stayed at Hotel Florida for 1 week with my sister and my 1 year old. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast with a messy toddler! They made a big fuss of my daughter. We were made to feel at ease and the breakfast selection was good. The room decor tickled us but it was so comfortable. I have never known such a big bed! Fluffy pillows and a mattress better than what I have at home. I slept so well and my toddler also did in the cot provided. The room was made up every day but I found it a bit odd that they would remove used towels and washcloths but not replace them... I'd rather they were left so we could continue using them for the week. I do wish we could have thanked housekeeping personally as they probably thought we were very messy and we always came back to a spotless room. Overall, we loved it.

Room Disappointing, which was a shame

I booked this hotel because of location and I liked the quirkiness of it, however have to say I was slightly disappointed. I don't like to give bad reviews as I prefer to write directly to the hotel with my complaints, however having waited 2 weeks for a reply, I felt i had to write a disappointing review. The reason for my disappointment was the shoddy state of the room. We were in the Godard room, which had defintely seen better days. The bathroom was set up for a disabled person, which is fine, however the bottom of the door frame to the bathroom look like it was rotting through damp. The walls were scuffed up as was the floor and the TV was a 30in screen in massive bedroom - the net curtains also look like they hadn't been washed. We were there only 2 nights and to be honest I didn't really want to make a complaint when leaving as we were in a rush. On a positive note the reception staff were friendly. The room was large and the beds were comfortable, the furniture was very 70s so didn't really think we could sit on it - however i liked it as it was in keeping. The towels were great - and if you think this is an odd thing to comment on - I always find that towels in Europe are the size of Bath mats. there were definitely Sheets and as I am not a size 0, I was more than happy that they went round me with some to spare. The location of the Hotel is great just by the Marquis de Pombal and is about 30 minutes from the Airport with a single change. It is an easy hotel to walk into 'downtown' Lisbon from and there are a lot of restaurants within a 10 minute walking from there. Really wish someone had got back to me with regards to my email with pictures.. Would I stay there again, potentially, as I am sure not all the rooms were like ours.
